Project of the Month is here
What Project of the Month is
A monthly contest. One submission window. Three winners. Real recognition for the work you’ve actually built. Every month, we open submissions, the team reviews everything that comes in, and we name a first, second, and third place. Winners are featured on the Sticklight platform, shared across the community, and earn credits to keep building. The bar isn’t polish for polish’s sake. It’s craft. It’s the kind of project where someone looks at it and thinks: they actually solved something. Or: I didn’t know you could do that with Sticklight. That’s the Sticklight standard, and that’s what we’re looking for.
The Sticklight standard
This is the part worth slowing down on, because it’s the whole point. The Sticklight standard isn’t about clean code or pretty layouts. It’s the bar a senior designer and a senior developer would hit if they sat down together at their best. It’s the work that makes someone look twice. The kind of project that quietly shows what the platform can actually do when a creator pushes it.
We’re looking for projects that took things to the edge. Projects that treated the platform less like a tool and more like a canvas. Work where the creator didn’t stop at “it works” and kept going until it was right. Some examples of what that looks like:
Projects that bent the format. A landing page that doubles as a working tool. A portfolio that responds to the visitor in real time. A blog post that turns into an interactive lesson halfway through.
Projects that showed range. Real product polish on a personal side project. Animation, motion, and detail where most people would have stopped at static.
Projects that solved something specific. A niche workflow nobody else has built for. A tool the creator wished existed and decided to make.
Projects that proved the platform can go further. Integrations, embedded logic, AI-driven features inside the build itself, generative behavior, multi-step flows that feel like real software because they are.
Projects that nailed the small things. Empty states. Loading moments. Error copy. The details most people skip and the ones that separate good work from great work.
Creativity doesn’t have boundaries on Sticklight. The Sticklight standard is the work that proves it.
We welcome your projects
If you built it with Sticklight, it counts. The range of what’s possible on the platform is wider than most people use, so this list is meant to open things up, not narrow them down:
- Landing pages. Product launches, waitlists, event pages, campaign microsites, lead capture pages.
- Marketing websites. Multi-page sites, portfolios, agency sites, studio sites, personal sites with a point of view.
- Blogs and editorial sites Long-form publications, newsletters with archives, content hubs, magazine-style layouts. Web apps. Habit trackers, calculators, planners, journals, productivity tools, mood boards, generators, configurators.
- Apps inside a website A working tool embedded in a landing page. A calculator inside a product page. A quiz inside a campaign. A real piece of software living inside marketing.
- Dashboards Analytics views, KPI trackers, internal reporting tools, client-facing dashboards, personal data dashboards.
- Management platforms Task managers, project trackers, CRM-style tools, content calendars, team workflows, lightweight admin panels.
- AI-powered experiences Chat interfaces, AI-driven recommenders, content generators, summarizers, writing assistants, idea explorers, conversational tools, custom GPT-like flows built directly into a site or app. Internal tools. Anything you built for yourself, your team, or your client to make work faster. The unglamorous projects often do the most.
- E-commerce and storefronts Product showcases, catalog sites, single-product pages, drop pages, shoppable experiences.
- Booking and scheduling tools Reservation systems, appointment pages, event RSVPs, intake forms. Community and member surfaces. Directories, member profiles, leaderboards, community hubs, gated content pages.
- Educational projects Course pages, interactive lessons, learning trackers, study tools, knowledge bases.
- Games and interactive experiences Quizzes, personality tests, choose-your-own-adventure stories, browser games, generative art pieces, anything that turns a visitor into a participant.
If your project doesn’t fit neatly into any of these and you still think it belongs, submit it- WE LIKE SURPRISES . The categories that surprise us are usually the ones worth featuring.
Eventually, we’re not looking for category fit. We’re looking for work that does something. Solves something. Shows something. If you’re not sure whether your project qualifies, submit it. Let us decide.
The winner takes it all
First place. 500 Sticklight credits. A winner badge on your profile. Social promotion across our channels.
Second place. 200 Sticklight credits. Community recognition.
Third place. 100 Sticklight credits. Community recognition.
Beyond the prizes, every winning project gets featured spotlight treatment. That means the community sees your work, other creators learn from it, and you walk away with proof that what you built was worth building.
Why we’re doing this
Most of what gets built quietly stays quiet. People ship great work and the only people who see it are the three friends they sent the link to. Project of the Month exists to change that, at least for the Sticklight community. The work deserves to be seen. The creators behind it deserve to be credited. And the rest of the community deserves to see what’s possible when someone takes the platform seriously. The first round is open now. Submissions close May 27th.
Happy building.
