- Select your image file
- Tell Sticklight how to use it
Usage Examples
Logo:
“Use this as my logo in the header” + [logo file]
Hero image:
“Add this as the hero background image” + [photo]
Team photos:
“Add these photos to the team section” + [multiple photos]
Product images:
“Use these for the product grid” + [product photos]
Image Placement Tips
- Be specific about location – “in the hero,” “in the about section,” “in the footer”
- Mention sizing preferences – “full-width,” “contained,” “as a small accent”
- Describe treatments – “with a dark overlay,” “rounded corners,” “with a shadow”
Supported Formats
- PNG (.png) – Best for logos, graphics, and images that need transparency
- JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg) – Best for photographs and complex images
- GIF (.gif) – Best for simple animations
- WebP (.webp) – Optimized web format with smaller file sizes
Image Accessibility
Every image should have alt text – a brief description that makes your site accessible to everyone.
What alt text does:
- Enables screen readers to describe images to visually impaired visitors
- Displays when images fail to load
- Helps search engines understand your content
How to add or edit alt text:
Select any image in the visual editor to see a live preview and update its alt text directly.
Tips for writing alt text:
- Describe what’s in the image concisely
- Include context relevant to your content
- Skip “image of” or “photo of” – it’s implied
- Leave empty for purely decorative images
Best Practices
- Higher resolution is better – More detail means more accurate interpretation
- Annotate when helpful – Circle or highlight specific elements you want replicated
- Combine with text – Tell the AI what aspects of the upload matter most
- One concept per upload – Multiple references can create conflicting signals
Using Uploads with Brand Kits
If you have existing brand assets:
- Upload your logo, brand materials, or example materials
- Ask Sticklight to extract your color palette
- Apply those colors to your brand kit
- All future elements will use your brand colors automatically
